What we do

This online catalogue supports our business; it is not the whole of it. We choose finished products, we build our own, we install and we maintain.

Emergency lighting is not an ordinary purchase. It is equipment that has to work on the day nothing else does — which means it must be sized for the building, installed properly, then checked regularly throughout its life.

Sale

The catalogue brings together the ranges of several manufacturers under harmonised technical data. You compare, you collect your references and quantities, you send us the lot: we come back with a priced offer.

For a project that goes beyond a catalogue order, advice comes before hardware. Describe the building, its use and its constraints; we will tell you what it calls for.

Installation

We install what we sell: the luminaires alone, or the complete installation — central systems, cabling and connections. The work is carried out in coordination with the site electrician and ends with commissioning and testing.

Working with one contact from sizing through to commissioning avoids the classic blind spot: compliant equipment, installed in a way that is not.

Maintenance

This is the heart of our business, and the reason we exist beyond the catalogue.

An emergency lighting installation has to be checked periodically — standard EN 50172 requires regular testing and a log book — and its batteries have a limited service life. An installation that is never checked is one nobody knows still works.

We carry out those checks, replace batteries and light sources, deal with faults and upgrade existing installations, whoever originally supplied them.

These services are most often covered by a maintenance contract: the due dates are then tracked for you, the log book kept up to date, and the installation stays in order without your having to think about it.

The regulatory framework

EN 1838 sets the illuminance levels to be achieved on escape routes. EN 60598-2-22 applies to the luminaires themselves. EN 50172 governs testing, maintenance and the log book.

In Switzerland, fire protection directive VKF/AEAI 17-15, "Marking of escape routes — Safety lighting — Safety power supply", adds the required switch-on time and rated duration.

Sizing remains specific to each building: these texts give the framework, not the answer.
